Paraguay is the 97th economy in terms of world exports. During 2017, the products that this country exported reached 6.82 billion dollars, compared to 12 billion dollars in the case of imports.
Soy is the main product exported in Paraguay, representing almost 50% of its exports. It also stands out from products of bovine origin and, to a lesser extent, metals and gold.
The countries receiving Paraguay’s exports are Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Russia, and Italy, in this order. They also highlight the relationship with China, assuming 30% of the country’s total imports.
