Considered one of the 50 world powers in international trade, Portugal is one of the most exciting destinations in the European Union for exporters. During 2017 it made imports worth the US $ 78.3 billion.
In both imports and exports to Portugal, we find a significant diversification. We can find everything from a computer or technical equipment, to typical food products such as dairy products. It also highlights its car exports and, to a lesser extent, refined oil.
By geographical location, one of its main trading partners in Spain, followed by France and Germany. If we look beyond the European borders, its leading partner is the United States.
A full container (FCL) or a shared container (LCL or groupage) are the options available for shipping your cargo to Portugal.
The full container will be ideal when your merchandise exceeds six pallets, or when the products in your shipment are fragile and cannot share space with third-party deliveries. Besides, you can choose between a 20-foot container (up to 10 pallets) or a 40-foot container (up to 21 pallets).
If so much space is not necessary, a shared container shipment can be contracted, saving on budget, since it will only be paid for the required space within the container.
